Rolling Admissions
The rolling admissions process benefits students in a variety of ways. One advantage specifically for admitted students is that WVU can accept improved test scores and GPA reports throughout the senior year for both admission and scholarship purposes.

Common Questions
How do students apply to WVU test-optional?
Both the WVU and Common Application are available to applicants applying test-optional. Students will be prompted when submitting the application to indicate if they are applying test-optional.
If applying test-optional, are students directly admitted to their major?
Select academic programs . This is due to the competitive nature of some majors, or limited space. However, WVU will automatically evaluate all applicants regardless of major for the Center for Learning, Advising and Student Success (CLASS). This ensures that students receive an admissions decision if awaiting a test date or another testing assessment for placement.
